Annie Lennox
| Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox was accepted into the Royal Academy of Music in London during the 1970s when she studied the flute piano as well as the harpsichord for three consecutive years. Lennox was able to survive on a student's stipend as well as working part-time in order to earn a living. Lennox believed that her abilities weren't as good as those of her Royal Academy classmates. So she started thinking of other routes she could choose. Lennox performed flute in the band Dragons Playground. But she quit prior to New Faces, the I.T.V. talent competition. She was the main voice in The Tourists a British pop band from 1977 to 1980. As part of this group, she was met by Dave Stewart. Together they would form the Eurythmics pop duo. After that, Lennox began to work on her first solo album Diva that was released in the year 1992. This album became a huge achievement, both in terms of the sales as well as the critical acclaim. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album came out in October of 2014. The C.D. Lennox selected her favorites blues soul tracks from her the time of her childhood. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four impromptu piano pieces was released by Lennox in the month of May, 2019. The E.P. The E.P. is her debut independent album and a companion to her art work created at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called Now I Let You go... Annie Lennox born December 25 1954, is an Scottish activist, politician and philanthropist. She is also a music producer and singer. The Tourists had a minor popularity in the latter part of the 1970s. Lennox and Dave Stewart, a fellow musician, went on to become famous internationally in the 1980s as the Eurythmics. In 1992, Lennox started her own solo career with their debut record Diva which yielded numerous successful tracks, including Why and Walking through Broken Glass. Medusa the 1995 studio album, features the cover versions of some popular songs like No MoreILove Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. Her solo albums include six studio albums and compilation albums. |
